Giving Way to Gray on a Dreary Day

Yesterday was a dreary day.

I was determined to add some color to it.

But I couldn't do it.  No matter what I tried on, it was simply a gray kind of day.  And I've had a bad cold.

When someone asks, "How are you?"

I say, "Good thank you.  I have a cold."

Most of the pics didn't turn out, since it's getting darker earlier and it was dreary out.

Sara took a few outside, but needing to stay trendy with her 10 year old photograhy skills, she's been holding the camera at weird angles.  This means her photos are silly, and it doesn't matter how I rotate them they don't work.

Regardless, here's what I wore yesterday.
Do you see that it's a heart pattern?!!
The gray cardigan is years and years old.  I don't wear it much because I don't like it much.  But it was good for yesterday.

Found this little guy at an estate sale a few months back.  3 dollars. So I hung him from a yellow ribbon.
The two pair of black boots I owned prior to these were from goodwill.  I had bought both pair at the same time for 4.99 new.  The heels finally fell apart on the first pair.

So I switched to the next pair.

Eventually those fell apart.

That forced a trip to the mall to find these.

No really.  I don't like the mall.  Not even a little.  Well, except Auntie Anne's pretzels.  I like Auntie Anne's pretzels.  but I don't want to like them.

My mom knew Auntie Anne when they were young. True story.

I have an Aunt Ann.   Also a true story.

Anne Shrirley is my favorite book character.

She did not eat Auntie Anne's pretzels.
I would have worn leggings, but I was just going to work, and I have to change into elf socks at work.

I'm not even kidding.

I think you got confused when someone told you to Elf Yourself. Most people just go to the website.

I think the heart pattern was plenty cheerful for a gray, dreary day.

Thanks SLP ;) I'm a sucker for black dresses, polka dots, and heart patterns. What's are your "must buy"s?

I didn't know what that was, but looked it up. That would've saved me a lot of trouble, wouldn't it have?
